This Week’s Passage: Revelation 22:1-6

Use this daily guide to help you internalize this week’s passage & message!

KNOW: What does God intend for me to know?
In a journal, use the following prompts to write some truths that stood out from this week’s message:
I never knew…
I was reminded…
A question I still have…
I was challenged…
I was convicted…
A truth I could share is…
I was encouraged to…
I need to dig deeper into…

BE (CONSIDER): What does God’s Word lead me to prayerfully consider?
In your journal, use the following questions to write some prompts to use n praying through this week’s passage:
Is there a command to obey?
How am I compelled to exalt God?
Is there a promise to claim?
Is there a principle to follow?
Is there an example to follow?
Am I convicted to confess any sin?
Is there a sin to avoid?
How do I need to rest in Jesus/the gospel?
How can I pray for someone else?
What am I compelled to love or desire?

DO (YIELD): How does God’s Word Call me to yield my life?
In your journal, write your answers and thoughts in response to the following questions.
1. Why is seeing the face of God the greatest blessing of all the new creation? What does it mean to seek his face now? How are you doing that right now? What new commitments can you make in the new year to intensify this pursuit?

2. How does this passage help us gain an eternal perspective for our work, or vocation? How does gaining an eternal perspective on our work direct the way we go about our work here and now? (Think specifically about your own work or vocation)

3. Pastor Gerald walked us through a portion of 1 Corinthians 15 on Sunday, part of which offers us some insight into our resurrected bodies. Why is v. 58 such an appropriate close to such a chapter? How should that verse, as a closing charge of this particular chapter, encourage us and motivate us?
