I was convicted…
A truth I could share is…
I was encouraged to…
I need to dig deeper into…

BE (CONSIDER): What does God’s Word lead me to prayerfully consider?

Is there a command to obey?
How am I compelled to exalt God?
Is there a promise to claim?
Is there a principle to follow?
Is there an example to follow?
Am I convicted to confess any sin?
Is there a sin to avoid?
How do I need to rest in Jesus/the gospel?
How can I pray for someone else?
What am I compelled to love or desire?

DO (YIELD): How does God’s Word Call me to yield my life?
In your journal, write your answers and thoughts in response to the following questions.
  1. What is one thing about your life that can be changed to be more “heavenly minded” and enable you to be more effective for “earthly good”?

  1. God wants our true desire and joy to be in Him, and His promise of intimately tabernacling with us is the way we will enjoy and desire Him forever.

  1. How can we cultivate intimacy with God in a society so focused on immediate pleasure, superficiality, and over-activity? What are we doing now to cultivate our desire for Him?

  1. Who do you know in a place of sorrow or misery? How does the reality of the new heaven and earth enable you to speak into this sadness and sorrow?
