In your journal, use the following questions to write some prompts to use n praying through this week’s passage:
Is there a command to obey?
How am I compelled to exalt God?
Is there a promise to claim?
Is there a principle to follow?
Is there an example to follow?
Am I convicted to confess any sin?
Is there a sin to avoid?
How do I need to rest in Jesus/the gospel?
How can I pray for someone else?
What am I compelled to love or desire?
 
DO (YIELD): How does God’s Word Call me to yield my life?
In your journal, write your answers and thoughts in response to the following questions.
  1. Why do you think that some hold to a view of heaven as being a boring or monotonous place? How should this passage shape the way we view heaven?

 

  1. How does the vision of this passage speak to every fear or hesitation you have in personal mission/evangelism? How does a view to the end give us confidence in our participation in God’s mission?

 

 

  1. What are some struggles, dangers, and threats that you long to see vanquished along with sin? How does confidence in that end change the way we face those things now?
