Who’s Your One? Imagine if every member of our church could answer that question with the name of a person—a person for whom they’re praying and with whom they’re sharing the gospel. How would it change our church? How would it change our community? How would it change our world?

Overview

What ‘Who’s Your One’ is NOT:
Who’s Your One is not a program we’ve come up with. It’s not a series of meetings you have to attend. It’s not a gimmick designed to ‘guilt’ you into doing something. We don’t need another method for evangelism; there are plenty of those. What we need is a Holy Spirit inspired passion to see people who are far from God experience the new life He offers through Jesus Christ.

Who’s Your One:
This effort is designed to mobilize every member of Westwood to identify one person in his or her relational network to pray for and share the gospel with in 2019. We are asking every member of our church to
  1. Ask God to show you who that individual is
  2. Begin to pray regularly and fervently for that person
  3. Ask God for opportunities for gospel conversations with that person

Taste and See Passages:
When God’s people speak the Word of God into the lives of others, in prayerful dependence on the Spirit and in perseverance, lives are changed. A simple and effective way to share the gospel with others is to get them in the Word.  This list was developed by one of the college Pastors at Summit Church.  He explained that he simply gives this list to the person he’s trying to bring to faith. He asks them to read the verses and write out what they think each verse means and what God might be saying to them through it. He then meets with them the next week to discuss their answers. After that, he said, he asks them if they want to read a book of the Bible together and do the same thing.  Here is a copy of the taste-and-see verses.
